The Division of Infectious Diseases at UT Southwestern is dedicated to achieving the highest quality patient care, clinical and basic science research, and postdoctoral fellowship training in infectious diseases. We offer inpatient and outpatient ID consultation services at several different sites, including Parkland Memorial Hospital, the Dallas VA Medical Center, St. Paul University Hospital, Zale Lipshy Hospital, the Aston Outpatient Clinic, and the Amelia Court HIV Clinic . Our faculty performs cutting edge clinical, translational, and basic science research in the pathogenesis and treatment of infectious diseases, including HIV, CNS viral infections, hepatitis C virus, respiratory tract infections, and gram-negative bacterial infections. We offer a rigorous fellowship training program dedicated to producing academic physicians of exceptional caliber that combines extensive training in the management of a wide variety of infectious diseases with in-depth mentored clinical or basic science research training.
