Description:

The goal of the Synthetic Chemistry Core is to assist researchers at UTSW in the areas of organic, analytical and medicinal chemistry. Our primary focus of services available are listed below in addition to consultation and general advice on drug discovery and development issues.

1) Synthesis of reagents and small molecules not commercially available (including patented compounds).
2) Medicinal chemistry in support of structure-activity relationships, pharmacokinetics, toxicity, solubility and ADME properties.
3) HPLC support including high-level purification (semi-prep HPLC) and purity analysis.
4) Structure validation of biologically active molecules from primary HTS-screens or other sources.
5) Analytical chemistry services including solubility and stability studies, quantitative analysis, and impurity identification.
6) Synthesis of assay development tools including affinity-labeled compounds and probe reagents.
7) Scale-up of biologically active small molecules to support further in vitro or in vivo testing and proof of concept studies.
