The Chest/Thoracic Imaging Program at UT Southwestern Medical Center provides patients with comprehensive imaging and diagnostic services for disorders in the lungs, chest and middle back area, including lung cancer, suspected lung lesions and pulmonary nodules.
The physicians in this program specialize in the early detection and diagnosis of diseases affecting the cardiovascular system. Their clinical responsibilities encompass critical care and CT imaging, inpatient and outpatient conventional radiographic interpretation, and various interventional procedures. In addition, they may call upon UT Southwestern’s cardiac imaging physicians to provide services for conditions related to pulmonary diseases.
Our physicians use technologies such as computed tomography (CT) scans and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to visualize the interior of the chest and assess organ functionality. These cutting-edge imaging tools allow physicians and specialists to make the most accurate diagnoses and prescribe targeted treatments and therapies.
